Jacksonville welcomes more than 8 million visitors each year, and hospitality workers are often the first on the scene when someone needs help. The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, together with Ascension St. Vincent’s, the American Heart Association, EMS partners and the Volunteer Life Saving Corps, is hosting a training event that gives hotel, restaurant, and attraction staff the skills to act when seconds count. Join us on Thursday, November 12th at the Southbank Hotel from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Seating is limited to 30 participants for each session.
Hands-Only CPR
Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Only about 1 in 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside a hospital survive. Immediate CPR from a bystander can double or triple those odds.
This class will help you feel confident performing Hands-Only CPR when it matters most. You’ll practice with real-time feedback from instructors and healthcare professionals, learn how to deliver high-quality chest compressions and have time to ask questions.
Stop the Bleed
Bleeding is the No. 1 cause of preventable death after a life-threatening injury. Stop the Bleed teaches hemorrhage control in three quick steps, giving you the skills to save a life.
