SUMMARY:Northeast - Hospitality Ready: Life-Saving Skills for Hospitality Staff
DESCRIPTION:Jacksonville welcomes more than 8 million visitors each year\, and hospitality workers are often the first on the scene when someone needs help. The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association\, together with Ascension St. Vincent’s\, the American Heart Association\, EMS partners and the Volunteer Life Saving Corps\, is hosting a training event that gives hotel\, restaurant\, and attraction staff the skills to act when seconds count. Join us on Thursday\, November 12th at the Southbank Hotel from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Seating is limited to 30 participants for each session. \nHands-Only CPR\nCardiac arrest can happen to anyone\, anytime\, anywhere. Only about 1 in 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside a hospital survive. Immediate CPR from a bystander can double or triple those odds. \nThis class will help you feel confident performing Hands-Only CPR when it matters most. You’ll practice with real-time feedback from instructors and healthcare professionals\, learn how to deliver high-quality chest compressions and have time to ask questions. \nStop the Bleed\nBleeding is the No. 1 cause of preventable death after a life-threatening injury.
